Overview

Internship Overview- Time Commitment: 25 hours per week
- Internship Duration:
September 8, 2026 - December 11, 2026 - Location:
Remote (Tuesday availability required) - Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour
- Gain practical job skills in a non‑profit environment
- Explore a career path within a reputable health organization
- Build a resume and make a difference in the lives of others
- Research and reporting: conduct online research, identify external content, and create slides to convey research results.
- Develop messaging and create slides summarizing ROI for sponsors.
- Content creation: develop promotional resources, edit materials (slide decks, one‑pagers, etc.), and coordinate reviews with internal stakeholders.
- Translate and adapt Healthy Living content for multicultural audiences.
- Administrative support: develop materials for meetings (agenda, notes, exhibits, etc.).
- Seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in nutrition science, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or localization/translation with an interest in non‑profit health communications.
- Knowledge of public health and health literacy.
- Demonstrated research skills (market research, environmental scans, etc.) and ability to apply findings to consumer content.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to translate dense content into easy‑to‑read formats for various audiences.
- Undergraduate coursework in health promotion, nutrition, public health, content marketing, general marketing, and/or communications.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Professional collaboration skills and ability to guide projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Reliable Wi‑Fi connection and minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday‑Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Competitive hourly wage of $23.00.
- Professional development through the national Heart U online university and Employee Resource Groups.
