Social Media Strategist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Social Media Strategist. The role is part of Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated carrier. The program is merit based and offers work-from-home flexibility after initial in-person training.

• Independently develop branded Auto-Owners content for review.
• Curate and manage content using existing tools for all social media platforms.
• Suggest and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) using existing tools to gauge platform success.
• Adopt social media best practices based on Auto-Owners’ standards and culture.
• Monitor social media platforms for both Auto-Owners and our sponsorship partners and engage with followers who leave comments.
• Share positive online reviews with key stakeholders and forward negative reviews to the claims team for investigation.
• Assist with regional philanthropic efforts.

• Ability to work collaboratively on a team.
• Ability to use software to construct content.
• Experience creating B-to-B and/or B-to-C social media content (preferred).
• Underwriting or claims experience helpful.
• Enjoys interacting with people to provide surprise and delight experiences.
• Adaptable at tactfully communicating with disgruntled consumers.
• Good at time management and providing timely responses.
• Competency to learn new PC tools.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; this requirement may be waived at the company’s discretion.
