Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Member Communications, the Content Specialist Member Experience will create compelling content that enhances the overall Member experience across various touchpoints. This role maintains brand voice, ensures plain language and consistency across messaging channels, and ensures all member communications comply with state and federal regulations, including accessibility and language accommodations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in creating content for member communications, including direct mail, emails, text messages, newsletters, user guides, knowledge base articles, in‑product messaging, IVR messages, and web/mobile content under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support collaboration with Customer Experience (CX), Digital Product & Experience, and Member Service teams to gather input and ensure content aligns with user needs and team goals.
- Contribute to the development of clear, engaging content that helps members understand and use products and services effectively while applying brand guidelines, tone of voice, plain language principles, and accessibility best practices.
- Assist in reviewing and proofreading content created by others to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand standards, and learn from feedback and best practices.
- Participate in team projects and meetings and take on additional tasks as assigned to support the content team and grow skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (minimum). Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience (minimum). 1–3 years of experience as a Copywriter or similar role preferred.
Skill Requirements- Strong interest in writing and editing, with a good grasp of plain language, grammar, spelling, and tone; ability to adapt writing style with guidance.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks with support from team members.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; open to feedback and eager to grow in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Detail‑oriented and organized, with a proactive attitude toward learning and development.
Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required. Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations. May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
CompensationSalary Range: $58,087.20 – $87,130.80. The actual salary will be determined by factors such as scope and complexity of the role, skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
