The Internship Program is designed for college students seeking hands‑on experience in a non‑profit, voluntary health organization.

We have an exciting opportunity for an intern on our Irving, TX Development Team. As an intern supporting our Go Red for Women and Heart Ball events, you will play a key role in the planning, execution, and follow‑up of these life‑saving initiatives.

• Time Commitment: 20‑25 hours per week

• Salary: $23.00 per hour

• Collaborate with Development Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support fundraising campaigns in the Dallas area.
• Assist with pulling reports and data entry.
• Research company information for prospects.
• Communicate with companies to keep them on event timelines.
• Identify connections to lapsed companies, including online research.
• Assist with Hands‑Only CPR events.
• Support event planning and day‑of activities, including gathering materials, setting up, and assisting during the event.
• Help Development Directors gather requested materials from companies as follow‑up for company meetings.
• Develop event collateral, including save‑the‑dates, invitations, event programs, and more.
• Work with Event Coordinators/Directors to execute Run‑of‑Show for core events.

• Senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in business, communications, non‑profit management, or event management.
• Experience with public speaking and engaging with the community in group settings and one‑on‑one.
• Comfortable with vendor outreach via phone calls and emails to vendors and donors.
• Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
• Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
• Effectiveness in one‑on‑one and group communications and comfort working with community leaders, volunteers, and staff at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.
• Basic Canva skills are a plus.
• Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Required Equipment: Reliable Wi‑Fi connection and reliable transportation.
• Minimum availability: 20 hrs/wk, Monday‑Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Some events occur in the evenings or on weekends.
• Legal authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. Remote work must be performed inside the United States.
