Job Overview
The Stuckeman School in the College of Arts and Architecture is seeking a part-time student communications intern to fill a writing intensive position for the 2026-27 academic year that will support the school’s Marketing and Communications Office. The role will require 12-14 hours per week, starting at $14 per hour.
ResponsibilitiesResearching and writing feature stories and news releases on school people, programs, alumni, and accomplishments, as well as crafting social media posts to promote those stories.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate should have solid writing, reporting, and interviewing skills and a strong attention to detail. Applicants must be dependable, flexible, and organized; possess solid oral communications skills; and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability. This position requires candidates to be third- or fourth-year journalism or public relations students enrolled in the Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State. Applicants must have at the very least successfully completed the writing course COMM 260W.
Courses in advanced writing and editing desirable.
