To overcome today’s biggest health challenges and accelerate this progress, we need passionate individuals like you. Join our movement, be part of the progress, and help ensure a healthier future for all. You matter, and so does the impact you can make with us.

The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands‑on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non‑profit, voluntary health organization.

The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Patient Solutions & Support (PS&S) Intern on the Patient Engagement & Support (PES) team. The PES team drives efforts to establish best practice patient and caregiver education and support programs, enable patients and caregivers to participate in their care, and transform the Association’s digital approach for being patients’ and caregivers’ trusted guide along their health journeys.

In order to meaningfully and authentically serve patients, caregivers, and communities, the Heart Association is committed to incorporating lived experience and amplifying patient and caregiver voices to inform, shape, and guide our programs, strategies, and solutions. In this role, you will gain on‑the‑job experience supporting the implementation of the Association’s caregiver support strategy and contributing to the planning and execution of the Heart Connection patient and caregiver experience at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2026 conference.
