Email Marketing Specialist (Part-Time Contract)
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Duration: Approximately 4 Months (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week
About the Role
Seeking a part-time Email Marketing Specialist to provide maternity leave coverage for a critical communications role supporting our Independent Brand Consultant business. This position will focus on the execution, deployment, and optimization of email campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, helping educate and motivate consultants to drive sales and engagement.
This is an execution-focused role with established content calendars and campaign strategies already in place. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in email marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and schedule email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Manage email sends using the appropriate data extensions, audience segments, and distribution lists
Execute consultant-facing communications designed to educate, engage, and motivate the Rodan + Fields salesforce
Update and refine email copy using existing templates and AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot
Coordinate with internal creative teams to request and manage email assets, imagery, and content updates
Conduct quality assurance testing and ensure email accuracy prior to deployment
Support overflow email programming and deployment for consumer-facing campaigns as bandwidth allows
Collaborate with marketing operations and CRM team members to ensure successful campaign execution
Troubleshoot basic HTML and email rendering issues when necessary
Required Qualifications
3+ years of email marketing experience
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong understanding of email deployment, audience segmentation, and campaign execution
Experience working with data extensions, subscriber lists, and email automation workflows
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Excellent written communication and copy-editing skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting direct sales, affiliate marketing, consultant networks, or field sales organizations
Experience creating communications designed to motivate and influence independent sales teams
Background in beauty, skincare, wellness, retail, or eCommerce industries
Familiarity with dynamic content and personalized email campaigns
Basic HTML troubleshooting experience
Team Structure
This role reports into the CRM and Lifecycle Marketing team and will work closely with:
Senior Manager, Consultant Communications (maternity leave incumbent)
Marketing Operations leadership
Consumer CRM team members
Creative Services team
Offshore marketing support resources

Flexible scheduling within business hours, with some overlap required with Pacific Time
