Key ResponsibilitiesPurple Properties LLC is hiring a Campus Marketing & Brand Ambassador Intern to help us better connect with University of Portland students and strengthen our presence on and around campus.
This role is ideal for a current UP student who is outgoing, creative, reliable, and comfortable being a student-facing representative for Purple Properties. The intern will help us understand student housing needs, gather feedback, create relatable content, and support marketing efforts throughout the school year.
Unlike a traditional content-only internship, this position focuses on being a bridge between students and Purple Properties. The right person should feel comfortable talking with students, answering basic questions, directing students to the right resources, and helping us stay connected to student housing trends.
Campus Brand Ambassador- Serve as a student voice and on-campus representative for Purple Properties
- Help build brand awareness among University of Portland students
- Talk with students about off-campus housing, common housing concerns, and the Purple Properties rental process
- Answer basic student questions and direct students to the website, Instagram, application form, or Bob/Julia when needed
- Identify opportunities for Purple Properties to be more visible and approachable on campus
- Gather informal feedback from students about off-campus housing needs, concerns, and preferences
- Track common questions students ask about rent, availability, group size, leasing timelines, location, and the application process
- Share student feedback with the Purple Properties team to improve marketing, messaging, and outreach
- Support basic market research around student housing trends, student behavior, and competitor messaging
- Create Instagram posts, Reels, stories, and other student-focused content
- Capture student lifestyle content, neighborhood content, and off-campus living content
- Help create content that explains the rental process, available homes, student housing tips, and common questions
- Assist with tenant house photoshoots, lifestyle shoots, and casual behind-the-scenes content
- Support Instagram content creation, posting, captions, and story updates
- Assist with Linked In marketing, UP Mobile posts, and other student-facing digital platforms when needed
- Research trends, post ideas, audio, and student-focused content inspiration
- Help brainstorm creative campaigns for peak leasing season
- Communicate with current tenants when coordinating content, photoshoots, or student housing features
- Help schedule content opportunities with tenants or student groups
- Represent Purple Properties professionally when interacting with students, tenants, and campus contacts
- Help build a stronger sense of community around Purple Properties homes
- Upload, organize, and label content in the shared Drive
- Maintain basic organization of photos, videos, and marketing assets
- Track student feedback, questions, and content ideas
- Provide regular updates on student conversations, marketing opportunities, and content progress
- Help prepare simple updates for monthly check-ins or marketing meetings
- Current University of Portland student, preferably Class of 2028 or later
- Must own and have reliable access to a laptop, smartphone, and camera
- Comfortable using Instagram, Linked In, Canva, and basic photo/video tools
- Able to work independently in a hybrid role with both remote work and fieldwork
- Comfortable communicating with students, tenants, and the Purple Properties team
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage marketing files, content, and project updates
- Experience with Instagram, Reels, and student-focused social media content
- Basic Canva or Photoshop experience
- Comfortable taking photos and videos
- Interest in marketing, real estate, student housing, communications, or social media
- Experience using a camera, hard drive, or editing tools is a plus, but not required
- Create a student housing FAQ series for Instagram
- Gather feedback from students about what they look for in off-campus housing
- Film casual student-centered Reels about living off campus
- Help promote available homes during peak leasing season
- Create content with current tenants about their housing experience
- Track common student questions and suggest website or Instagram updates based on those questions
- The ideal candidate is a current University of Portland student who understands student culture, enjoys connecting with people, and is excited to help make off-campus housing feel more approachable. Professional marketing experience is not required, but strong communication, creativity, initiative, and reliability are important.
