Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position requires regular on‑site hours and is not suitable for remote work.
PurposeThis position leads and executes strategic digital and print communications initiatives that align with the Longhorn Foundation's marketing, engagement, fundraising, and member solicitation objectives. The role develops and delivers compelling, multi‑channel campaigns that engage more than 26,000 members, strengthen donor relationships, and advance philanthropic support for Texas Athletics.
It also serves as the primary liaison between the Longhorn Foundation and the Marketing & Creative Services team, driving innovative fundraising communications, donor storytelling, and integrated marketing strategies.
Responsibilities- Create and implement a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy for the Longhorn Foundation.
- Generate and manage content and stories across email, social media, video, print, and website, ensuring consistent production.
- Develop and manage a social media strategy, producing engaging daily content and using analytics to inform future initiatives.
- Lead creative communications initiatives and collaborate with marketing and creative services to produce graphic design, web, and video collateral and maintain brand guidelines.
- Partner with the Annual Fund team to execute the annual giving calendar and ticket‑related communications.
- Assist with donor relations and special event communication, including invitations, RSVPs, and related materials.
- Serve as project manager for creative projects and Foundation email marketing, coordinating with the email marketing team.
- Support gameday hospitality and special events as needed.
- Assist with scripting, speech writing, presentations, and public announcements.
- Assist T Association with communications, marketing, and social media.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in marketing, communications, or related functions within higher education, non‑profit, or intercollegiate athletics.
- Experience executing strategic marketing and communications, including email marketing, social media, web and print campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in the field and proficiency in project management, light graphical element creation, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Three or more years of experience in marketing and communications for development and fundraising in higher education or collegiate athletics.
- Experience designing donor‑focused written materials and familiarity with Texas Athletics constituents.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and project management software.
- Class “C” driver’s license with a current three‑year driving record; non‑Texas residents must obtain a Texas license within 30 days of establishing residency.
- Subject to standard drug and alcohol testing for CDL holders.
- Off‑site work may be required in all weather conditions, standard office environments, office keyboard use, manual dexterity, and occasional stair climbing.
