Job Description Summary
The Director, US Market Access Strategy, Neuroscience will lead the market access launch of a neuroscience product s role resides primarily at the East Hanover, NJ or Cambridge, MA site, with remote work possible under certain conditions. The position requires domestic and/or international travel as defined by business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the key point of contact for US and Global product teams, participating in all relevant product meetings and ensuring other Market Access functions are involved as appropriate.
- Keep the US Leadership Team informed of product opportunities and challenges at all times.
- Socialize US market access product strategies with US and Global Product Leads and Executive Leadership.
- Develop an integrated 3‑to‑5‑year Market Access product plan, incorporating short‑ and long‑term access strategies into the annual Brand Planning process.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing and Customer Engagement Organizations to ensure efficient workflow and seamless execution of market access strategies.
- Partner with Market Access Account Management and Pricing & Channel Strategy to ensure annual forecasts are accurate and reflect latest market events.
- Partner with brand and other Market Access teams to secure annual budgets and ensure tactical plans support product strategies.
- Manage multiple budgets and deliverables, organizing interim project read‑outs to maintain cross‑functional alignment and keep deliverables within budget.
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Brand, and Marketing teams to ensure tactics are aligned, compliant, and implemented expeditiously.
- Master the NVS Material Approval Process, including the FUSE platform, FDA marketing policies, and vendor payment systems.
- Oversee development of critical market research, including qualitative and quantitative studies, to establish go‑to‑market principles for optimal commercialization.
- Manage vendor RFP processes and ensure contracting compliance.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Health Policy, or equivalent preferred. - Minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical experience in Marketing/Sales, Market Access, or Managed Care Finance.
- Thorough understanding of US healthcare dynamics and the drivers of pharmaceutical value.
- Track record of execution and results in commercial pharmaceuticals.
- Ability to recognize complex relationships, synthesize simplified communication, and influence decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and analytical skills with a proven ability to collaborate across a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with interdependent findings and deadlines.
- Ability to implement programs that deliver improved business results in a timely manner while adapting to internal and external changes.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $194,600 and $361,400 per year. Final salary is determined by relevant skills and experience and reviewed periodically. Compensation includes a performance‑based cash incentive and eligibility for annual equity awards.
