Job Title

Copy Supervisor – Avalere Health (Philadelphia, PA, US). Full time on site.

The Copy Supervisor will conceptualize and develop materials for assigned products, and train direct reports to enhance their abilities. The role involves strategic promotional planning and presents concepts and promotional materials to the client, partnering with Art Directors to develop creative concepts and executions.

• Write effective promotional copy, acting as the primary copywriter on at least one product.
• Review material produced by direct reports, including final manuscripts.
• Supervise senior copywriter(s), copywriter(s) and junior copywriter(s).
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of assigned therapeutic categories.
• Participate in strategic promotional planning for assigned products.
• Ensure compliance with the editorial process.
• Master the manuscript submission process, including referencing and regulatory details of assigned product(s).
• Collaborate with Art Directors to develop creative concepts and executions for assigned products.
• Present concepts and promotional material to the client.
• Assist in product launches.

• 5‑7 years of professional writing experience, with at least 2 years of pharmaceutical advertising copywriting experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Track record of independently producing successful, compelling, strategically sound pharmaceutical promotional materials in 2 or more therapeutic categories.
• Comfortable working within tight deadlines.
• Advanced Mac experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
