Job Overview

Devoted Health’s Member Experience Team is hiring a contract QA editor and copywriter for a 24‑week project (40–60hours per week). This is a 1099 freelance role with a pay rate of $45–$60 per hour, based on experience. The position is fully remote, but candidates must be available during East Coast business hours.

• Proofread and conduct QA on content across SMS, email, portal notifications, letters, print collateral, call scripting, and internal communication tools.
• Write, review, and maintain copy for the internal knowledge base, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style standards.
• Engage with AI agents to streamline content workflows and support knowledge‑management initiatives.
• Create clear, compelling copy for customer‑service and instructional materials.
• Simplify complex, industry‑specific content into plain language that is accessible and engaging.
• Respond to feedback and revisions proactively, refining writing quality continuously.
• Deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising standards.

• 4–8years of experience as a proofreader or copy editor, with some copy‑writing background—preferably in an agency or corporate setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to editing and content quality.
• Strong ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging language.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently, and comfortable collaborating within a team.
• Fast learner with strong research skills and an proactive attitude.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
• Candidate must be able to work on a schedule that aligns with East Coast business hours.

• Fluent or professional‑level proficiency in Spanish (written), with demonstrated experience writing or editing consumer‑facing content in Spanish.

Hourly rate: $45–$60, depending on experience and portfolio. The rate will be confirmed during the interview process. This contract position does not include the total rewards package typically offered to full‑time employees.
