Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra‑rare disorders. The unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with strong synergy to headquarters in Parma.

What you will do

Reporting to the Head of Access Marketing, Strategy, & US HEOR for the Americas, this role will lead the development and implementation of access strategy and develop tactical initiatives for the assigned Chiesi Rare Disease portfolio. The Lead will collaborate closely with brand marketing teams and other cross‑functional partners, ensuring life‑changing treatments remain accessible to the patients who need them.

You’ll be responsible for
  • Support the development of market access strategy, tactics and marketing materials as the market access lead for assigned brands.
  • Collaborate with partners from across the business, including Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Finance, Sales, Data/Analytics, and Global Market Access.
  • Support and develop the strategy for US HEOR/RWE across assigned disease areas within the Chiesi Rare Disease Portfolio.
  • Monitor spend and manage assigned payer marketing budget for brands, being a steward of company resources.
  • Serve as a resource on all aspects of US Market Access – strategies, tactics, situation assessments, etc. – for cross‑functional partners.
  • Lead engagement with creative agency partners for the assigned portfolio, and facilitate Promotional Review Board (PRB) review of marketing materials.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure brand access messages are communicated to all customers.
You will need to have
  • 10 years progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry across key functions such as marketing, market access, contracting, commercial operations, and data analytics. At least 5 years directly within market access or brand marketing.
  • Good understanding of payer segments (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Part D & B, etc.), reimbursement, and Specialty Pharmacy data.
  • Direct experience supporting Medical Benefit (Buy/Bill) is important.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver clear overviews of Market Access insights.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑directed and confident, able to contribute to shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Well organized, able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail. Demonstrated success with project management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the current US payer environment and Market Access dynamics.
  • History of success in developing market access tactics for use with US payers.
We would prefer for you to have
  • Experience with a Promotional Review Committee (Legal/Medical/Regulatory) and Veeva Vault or similar.
  • Experience with in Rare Disease.
Location

Hybrid position based in Boston, MA office.

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $184,140 to $225,060. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position is at‑will and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time.
