Director of eCommerce & Growth Marketing
In-office Monday–Thursday, work-from-home Fridays | $160,000–$185,000
Roxanne Assoulin is a New York-based jewelry brand founded by its namesake designer, who brings over four
decades of experience in the fashion industry. Known for bold color, playful design, and an accessible price point,
the brand has built a loyal, multigenerational following with its signature stackable bracelets and customizable
pieces. With a flagship store on Madison Avenue, a thriving DTC business on Shopify (the substantial majority of
revenue), and stockists including NET-A-PORTER, Shopbop, and Nordstrom, the brand is in a significant growth
phase. The product is deeply customizable — the catalog spans millions of SKU combinations — and ecommerce
and growth marketing are where the company is investing most.
The RoleThis is a newly created senior role at the intersection of ecommerce and performance marketing, reporting
directly to the Founder/CEO. The brand has a beloved identity, real momentum, and a Shopify business that has
grown remarkably — honestly, faster than the infrastructure behind it. That's where you come in: a hands-on
Director who can own the storefront end-to-end and build out the growth and measurement function that this
business is ready for.
You'd be the founding leader of this function. On day one, you'll work with a set of excellent external partners —
a paid media agency we trust, a Shopify development partner on retainer, and freelance specialists — alongside
close internal collaborators in product, creative, and retail. As the function grows (and it will), you'll have a real
voice in shaping the team that gets built around you. We think that's one of the best parts of this role: you get to
build it your way, rather than inherit someone else's machine.
What You'll Own- Hands-on ownership of the Shopify storefront — site architecture, product catalog management, on-site merchandising, and collection strategy. We really do mean hands‑on: our dream candidate is a bit of a Shopify wizard who has built and run storefronts themselves, and loves the craft of it.
- The day-to-day care of the catalog — product uploads, SKU and variant management, bundle configuration, and keeping our sales channels (Shop, Instagram, Facebook) in sync. Our customizable product makes this more interesting than most brands', and while the team grows, this work sits with this role.
- Conversion rate optimization — A/B testing, PDP and checkout improvements, landing pages, and session analysis to maximize revenue per session.
- Partnership with our Shopify development team — owning the project backlog, prioritizing retainer hours, and guiding projects like navigation redesign, PLP improvements, accessibility, and app ecosystem decisions (reviews, upsell, search, personalization).
- Helping shape a full rebrand and site redesign — a brand refresh is underway, with a new site planned to follow in 2027. This role is the commercial and UX anchor of that project: making sure what ships is as good at converting as it is beautiful.
- The growth roadmap — defining the channel mix that drives profitable revenue, and bringing all things digital under one roof for the first time.
- Paid media through our agency — we have a strong external partner running Meta and Google. You don't need to be a hands‑on‑keyboard media buyer; you do need to set strategy, guide the partnership, own the creative feedback loop, and push on CAC, ROAS, and incrementality.
- CRM, lifecycle, and retention — hands‑on ownership of email (Klaviyo) and SMS (Attentive): strategy, segmentation, flows, and calendar, plus strengthening foundations like in‑store email capture. Growing LTV and building our retention muscle is a core part of the mandate.
- Giving our affiliate program the attention it deserves — it hasn't had a dedicated owner, so the first step is a thoughtful audit and cleanup; from there, it's yours to grow.
- SEO foundations — bringing technical and on-page SEO discipline to a site and copy process that hasn't had it before, in close partnership with the creative team.
- Building our measurement practice — reporting here is…
