Waybetter Marketing is a marketing agency in Columbia, Maryland. We help colleges and universities grow enrollment through hyper-personalized, data-driven campaigns.
We're seeking a Copywriter & Editor with 2+ years of post-graduate experience to transform raw drafts into polished, high-performing content across every channel.

- Taking first-pass content for websites, emails, and print and sharpening it into copy that's clear, on-brand, and built to convert
- Editing and proofreading your own work and your teammates' to catch errors, tighten language, and elevate the final product
- Applying a discerning eye to structure, flow, and word choice so every piece reads like it was written by one confident voice
- Staying fluent in each university's style guidelines and brand voice, and knowing exactly where a draft needs to flex to match it
- Continually raising the bar on creativity, refining copy until it drives action
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines without letting quality slip
- You have at least 2 years of experience
- You have a degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or similar
- You have an editor's instinct: you can spot what's not working in a piece of writing and know exactly how to fix it
- You have a keen attention to detail and hold every piece of content to a high standard before it goes out the door
- You have strong project management skills
