Technical Writer & AI Content Strategist Intern Overview

Next Play is seeking a Technical Writer & AI Content Strategist Intern to help create clear, consistent, and scalable content across our products, website, documentation, and AI ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Operations, and AI, ensuring customers have an exceptional experience while helping Next Play become more discoverable across search engines and AI platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in technical writing, AI, SEO, product marketing, documentation, knowledge management, and content strategy.

• Create and maintain product documentation, Help Center articles, FAQs, onboarding guides, and feature documentation.
• Develop clear documentation for customers, retailers, and partners.
• Create internal documentation, SOPs, and knowledge management resources.
• Build and organize Next Play’s centralized knowledge base to support customers, employees, and AI systems.
• Ensure consistent messaging, tone, terminology, and brand voice across the website, product listings, AI responses, marketing materials, and customer communications.
• Optimize website and product content for SEO and AI discoverability (LLMs, AI search, and generative search experiences).
• Assist with website copy, Amazon content, landing pages, product pages, blog articles, and educational content.
• Write product updates, announcements, newsletters, and customer-facing communications.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Design to simplify complex information into engaging, easy-to-understand content.
• Continuously review and improve documentation, website content, and product messaging.
• Research best practices in AI content optimization, structured knowledge, and technical documentation.
• Help establish documentation standards and content governance as Next Play scales.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Interest in AI, eCommerce, consumer products, gaming, or startups.
• Experience in technical writing, journalism, English, communications, marketing, information systems, or related fields.
• Familiarity with SEO, content strategy, prompt engineering, or AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, engaging content.
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment.
