About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive, data-driven Email & SMS Marketing Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will lead end-to-end lifecycle and campaign strategy for multiple brands in our growing client roster, leveraging Klaviyo and Attentive .
You are an autonomous self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, strong creative judgment, and a track record of translating complex brand stories into high-converting lifecycle touchpoints. Key Responsibilities Email & SMS Strategy & Execution- Campaign & Editorial Planning: Build, manage, and execute dynamic content calendars for Email and SMS—aligning launches, sales, cultural moments, and exclusive perks into high-performing communications.
- Lifecycle Journey Optimization: Design, build, and continuously optimize automated flows (e.g., Welcome, Abandoned Checkout, Post-Purchase, Win-Back, VIP) in Klaviyo and Attentive .
- Content & Briefing: Write compelling, on-brand copy and brief creative/design teams with clear visual intent. Review all assets to ensure strict alignment with client brand standards.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Leverage zero-party and first-party data to build hyper-targeted customer segments that drive retention, higher LTV, and lower unsubscribe rates.
- Connecting Digital & Physical: Help bridge digital communications with physical touchpoints (e.g., store activations, pop-ups, exclusive local events) via targeted messaging.
- Loyalty & Membership: Assist in developing and executing brand-focused loyalty initiatives that offer early access, exclusive perks, and community engagement.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track key email/SMS metrics (Deliverability, Open Rate, CTR, Revenue per Recipient, Repeat Purchase Rate, List Growth) and translate numbers into clear, actionable client insights.
- A/B Testing: Design and execute structured A/B testing frameworks for subject lines, send times, preview text, SMS copy, and visual templates to consistently improve performance.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing CRM, email, and SMS marketing programs—ideally within an agency environment or DTC e-commerce brands (beauty, wellness, CPG, or lifestyle). Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, or Attentive is required.
- Tech Stack Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise in Klaviyo and Attentive is required.
- Design & Asset Prep: Proficiency with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) to adapt, edit, or prepare visual assets for email templates.
- Data & Excel Proficiency: Comfortable analyzing data using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, data manipulation) to evaluate channel health and client ROI.
- Editorial & Visual Taste: High visual standards with an eye for clean design, persuasive copywriting, and brand-first storytelling, with keen ability to pivot from brand to brand.
- Remote Fluency: Highly organized self-starter who thrives in an autonomous, fast-paced remote work environment and can balance multiple client work streams seamlessly.
- Experience with additional CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Background in developing or expanding direct-to-consumer loyalty and referral programs.
- Detail-Oriented: No detail too small—from flawless proofreading and working links to precise QA on logic flows.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: You don't just point out performance dips; you bring recommendations and creative solutions to the table.
- Communicator: Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills for client presentations and cross-functional team updates.
