Health Care Category Expert

Gray Media is seeking a Health Care Category Expert to support all stations in growing revenue within the health care category. This remote role will serve as a subject-matter expert and strategic partner to local sales teams—providing category insights, go-to-market strategy, and sales enablement to help stations win new business and expand existing advertiser relationships across linear, digital, and integrated solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with station leadership and sellers to identify, develop, and close health care revenue opportunities across Gray Media markets.
• Create and maintain health care category playbooks (target lists, messaging, proof points, packaging recommendations, and category calendar).
• Support stations with pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentations for priority accounts and agencies.
• Build repeatable sales programs for key segments (health systems, hospitals, clinics, urgent care, specialty practices, senior living, payers, and related services).
• Analyze category performance and provide actionable insights (pipeline development, revenue trends, whitespace opportunities by market).
• Deliver training and coaching to station sellers on health care industry dynamics and consultative selling best practices.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in health care marketing/advertising, media sales, category strategy, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of health care decision-makers and marketing objectives (brand, patient acquisition, service line growth).
• Proven ability to drive or influence revenue through consultative strategy and cross-functional execution.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work effectively with stakeholders across many markets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting multi-market teams or distributed sales organizations.
• Strong digital advertising knowledge (performance marketing, targeting, measurement/attribution).
• Familiarity with common health care advertising considerations (e.g., compliance, privacy, creative approvals) is a plus.
