MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Senior Manager to join our team and help drive client satisfaction and growth across a global brand client, with a focus on Formula 1. You will work closely with clients and partner with teammates to implement a high-profile global Formula 1 partnership. Successful candidates will have experience leading integrated teams delivering premium brand partnerships and activations on the brand, agency, rights holder, or related sports marketing side.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in our New York City office, with in-office and remote work expectations aligned with dentsu's flexible working model. You will report into the Senior Director and play a key role across a global agency account team.
- Manage day-to-day execution of a client's Formula 1 sponsorship rights, ensuring effective utilization of all partnership assets available to the client.
- Drive partnership strategy, leveraging an understanding of the property landscape to identify opportunities for client growth and optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to support collaboration, alignment, and client satisfaction.
- Lead account planning and client management activities while ensuring organized execution across multiple work streams.
- Maintain all tracking documents to a high standard, ensuring information is accurate, current, complete, and clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of the client's business, strategy, activation approach, and competitive landscape.
- Oversee relationships with rights holders to help develop effective and impactful marketing partnerships.
- Manage internal resources responsible for developing key documents, including activation plans and POVs, ensuring all materials are client-ready.
- Apply knowledge of integrated marketing, including social media, content marketing, influencer strategies, and promotional programs, to support partnership activation.
- Maintain oversight of all activation programs, including annual and event-specific budgets, while adhering to internal financial guidelines.
- Manage the review and approval process for creative elements, campaigns, and concepts with appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage requests involving merchandise, show cars, and other sponsorship-related assets.
- Travel is required, including some weekends and occasional holidays, depending on client assignments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in sponsorship marketing, partnership marketing, sports marketing, account management, or a related field.
- Preferred:
Experience working in Formula 1 on the brand, agency, or property side and/or familiarity with the Formula 1 ecosystem. - Experience working with premium global brands and sports or entertainment properties.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, senior leaders, talent, and clients across a variety of audiences.
- Ability to present ideas and collaborate effectively in team environments while providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to contribute to team initiatives, events, and collaborative activities that support an inclusive and positive work environment.
The annual salary range for this position is $71,875-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
