As an Influencer Marketing Manager, you will own influencer strategy and execution across Whatnot's paid influencer program. You will manage a portfolio of creator relationships spanning top-tier and macro talent down to high-performing mid-tier creators. You can operate within an existing system, iterate on it, and build the next version of it — bringing structure and instinct in equal measure.
You will report on key success metrics and proactively drive toward program-level goals.
Secure strategic partners- Identify, outreach, and close deals with the most impactful influencers across You Tube, Tik Tok, and Instagram. Own these relationships end-to-end—from first contact to long-term performance.
- Influencer Strategy:
Develop campaigns that map to specific creator archetypes and activation formats, partnering closely with the Category Marketing team. - Outreach:
Source and reach creators through email, DM, or whatever creative channel gets results. - Deal making:
Negotiate contracts in line with CAC, FTB, and LTV targets. Drive the internal approval process to signature. - Account Management:
Provide white glove support to partners, ensuring a strong product understanding, high-quality content, on-time delivery, and prompt payment.
- Build and manage a scalable creator roster—from macro and top-tier relationships that drive outsized impact to a bench of mid-tier creators that can be activated at volume.
We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our San Francisco, New York City, or Los Angeles hubs.
YouPeople who do well at Whatnot tend to be comfortable figuring things out as they go, biased toward action, and genuinely curious about what they're building. They care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it. As our next Influencer Marketing Manager, you should have 4+ years of influencer marketing experience, plus:
- Proven track record running end-to-end influencer campaigns that deliver performance-driven results — you've owned the full deal lifecycle from sourcing through execution.
- Experience managing top-tier and macro creator relationships, with the instincts to know when to push, when to hold, and how to unlock outsized value from a partnership.
- Comfortable operating across creator tiers — you can work a macro deal and build a mid-tier roster in the same week.
- Experience in a high-growth organization where you've had to own a lot, move fast, and figure things out — adapting to a fast-paced environment and pivoting quickly as needed.
- You're immersed in internet culture and can use that knowledge to identify trends, creators, and opportunities for the Whatnot brand to build and grow.
- Strong at writing creative briefs and providing clear direction to creators — you know what good content looks like and can articulate why.
- Deeply analytical and comfortable using data to drive decisions, iterate on strategy, and report out on program performance.
- You thrive in ambiguity. You can take an open-ended challenge, form a point of view, and execute — and you're just as comfortable improving an existing playbook as you are building a new one.
- You're scrappy and…
