Community Liaison

Overview

Global Villagers Community (GVC), located in Monterey, CA USA, contracts with a Community Liaison to support member communications, event promotion, and community growth. Please check out our website to learn more about us:

• Upload and organize photos/videos after each event into a Google Photos album.
• Maintain and update the GVC mailing list(s) in Mailer Lite (tag appropriately).
• Compose, edit and send up to five emails per month using existing templates.

• Print and distribute event fliers at designated locations in the Monterey area.
• Promote upcoming events through free or low-cost community channels, such as local event calendars, Meetup, Nextdoor, and similar platforms.

• Work closely with the Executive Director and Graphic Designer to ensure timely communications and promotion of GVC events.

The successful candidate will have strong people and written communication skills, and will be excellent at taking initiative. He/she will establish and maintain community connections and will be able to replicate (and improve upon) monthly systems. This is not a full remote position though some responsibilities can be fulfilled from a distance.

Bilingual abilities are not necessary, but are a plus and will be considered in the compensation.

Starting at $20/hour, 10–12 hours/month
. We will adjust as needed. Mileage for flier distribution will be reimbursed at the current federal mileage rate.
