The Motorclub is looking for a creative, social-media-savvy Marketing Assistant to help us capture and share what makes our venue special.
We're a unique Houston event venue surrounded by an ever-changing collection of classic and collector cars. From corporate events to private parties, photoshoots and special experiences, there is always something different happening in our space—and we want someone who can help us turn those moments into great content.
This is a hands-on role that's a great fit for a college student, recent graduate, or early-career creative who understands social media, has a good eye for content, and wants real-world marketing experience beyond sitting behind a desk.
What You'll Do Social Media + Content- Regularly visit The Motorclub to capture fresh photo and video content
- Capture behind-the-scenes and real-time content during select events
- Create and edit Instagram Reels, posts, Stories and other short-form content
- Help maintain a consistent social media presence and content calendar
- Identify trends, sounds and creative ideas that fit The Motorclub brand
- Help showcase the venue, classic cars, events, bar, amenities and overall guest experience
- Organize and maintain our library of photo and video content
- Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of The Motorclub's monthly email newsletter
- Help develop ideas for newsletters, promotions, event features and other email content
- Assist with maintaining email lists and ongoing email marketing initiatives
- Assist with basic oversight and updates to Google Ads campaigns
- Brainstorm new campaigns, promotions, ad concepts and marketing ideas
- Help ensure venue information, promotions and digital marketing materials stay current
You don't need years of professional marketing experience. We care much more about whether you're creative, dependable, comfortable creating content, and willing to learn.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Are currently studying or have experience in marketing, communications, PR, digital media, business or a related field
- Are comfortable filming content on a phone and have a natural eye for what looks good
- Know your way around Instagram, Reels and current social media trends
- Can edit short-form video using tools such as Cap Cut, Canva, Adobe or similar platforms
- Have strong written communication skills
- Are organized, reliable and able to manage assignments independently
- Are comfortable working in a fast-moving event environment
- Can occasionally work evenings or weekends to capture content during events
- Are interested in learning more about email marketing, digital advertising and venue/event marketing
- Have an interest in or experience with classic cars
Experience with
Canva, Cap Cut, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Wix, photography or videography is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to The Motorclub and occasionally other local locations as needed
- Must have a reliable smartphone with a high-quality camera suitable for capturing social media photo and video content
- Must have access to a personal laptop capable of handling day-to-day marketing work, including Canva, Mailchimp, Google Ads and basic photo/video editing
- Must be comfortable occasionally working evenings and weekends based on the venue's event schedule
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and perform occasional tasks that may involve standing, walking, bending or moving throughout the venue
- Must be dependable and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a small team
Approximately 15–20 hours per week with flexibility around school or other commitments.
Some work can be completed remotely, but this is not a fully remote position. Regular time at The Motorclub is an important part of the role because we want fresh, ongoing content from the space rather than relying solely on existing photos and videos.
Hours can be flexible, but the schedule will also be influenced by our event calendar. Some evening and weekend availability will occasionally be needed to capture events…
