Our client is a growing marketing organization supporting a portfolio of B2B startups and consumer brands across organic search, content, AI-search optimization, and growth analytics. The organization combines traditional SEO expertise with emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies and AI-native workflows to help clients improve visibility across both conventional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.

They are seeking a senior, hands-on operator who can independently own client relationships and execute sophisticated SEO, GEO, content, and analytics programs from strategy through implementation and reporting.

The AI Native Senior SEO & GEO Operator will be responsible for owning SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), content operations, and growth analytics programs end-to-end across a portfolio of B2B startup and consumer accounts.

This is a multidisciplinary role combining the responsibilities of an SEO strategist, content operations manager, AI-tooling specialist, and client-facing account owner. The role will manage technical SEO initiatives, AI-search visibility, content strategy and publishing, analytics, client communications, and research-driven proposals for new and existing accounts.

The ideal candidate has deep SEO expertise, understands how search behavior is evolving across AI platforms, and is comfortable using AI tools such as Claude Code as part of sophisticated production and optimization workflows. They should be equally comfortable conducting technical audits, designing content architectures, managing large-scale editorial operations, and presenting findings to founders and other senior stakeholders.

Fully Remote (Work from Home)

• Serve as the primary SEO and GEO point of contact across assigned client accounts.
• Own client deliverables from strategy and production through approval, implementation, and reporting.
• Manage structured client review workflows in Notion, including versioned batches, per-post approval gates, and comment reconciliation.
• Coordinate with client-side editorial reviewers, CMS administrators, founders, and other decision-makers.
• Proactively manage approvals and ensure feedback is incorporated efficiently across current and future assets.
• Translate individual reviewer feedback into systemic editorial and optimization standards that can be applied across large volumes of content.
• Communicate with clients through Slack while adapting communication to each client's preferred style and expectations.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear, opportunity-focused recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

• Execute a productized research-to-proposal process for prospective clients and SEO upsell opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive website audits and top-10 competitor analyses.
• Perform customer, competitor, keyword, and search-intent research.
• Evaluate alignment between target keywords, search intent, and existing website copy.
• Establish GEO and AI-search visibility baselines.
• Develop structured Notion proposals combining analysis, strategic recommendations, and sample content.
• Translate research findings into clear opportunities and actionable growth strategies.

• Conduct crawl-based technical SEO audits to identify opportunities affecting organic search performance.
• Perform indexation analysis and investigate issues affecting search engine discovery and visibility.
• Evaluate and optimize schema implementation.
• Conduct SERP-level analysis and optimization.
• Translate technical findings into prioritized recommendations for clients and internal teams.
• Maintain strong technical SEO standards across client websites and ongoing initiatives.

• Establish and measure AI-answer visibility baselines across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.
• Develop strategies to improve client visibility within AI-generated answers and emerging search experiences.
• Use Claude Code or equivalent AI tools for structured prompting, custom instructions, workflow development, and AI-assisted production.
• Critically review AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, relevance, quality, and strategic alignment rather than relying on unverified AI output.
• Create and maintain llms.txt and llms-full.txt files.
• Develop answer-first, citation-ready content designed for both traditional and AI-powered search environments.
• Build and maintain weekly GEO monitoring workflows.
• Maintain internal audits against Google's published guidance and incorporate relevant changes into client strategies.
