The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Marketing Specialist manages the creative development and production of marketing plans and tactics that support WWP programs, events, and initiatives for warriors and their families. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to execute integrated marketing efforts across various channels and initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the development and execution of marketing plans and tactics that engage warriors and their families with WWP programs, services, and resources.
Assist in coordinating campaign elements, messaging, and timing in collaboration with marketing, communications, and other WWP teammates to ensure projects align with expectations.
Contribute to content planning and execution for warrior-focused communications, including digital marketing channels, in partnership with relevant teams.
Help monitor active marketing campaigns and tactics (e.g., email, social media, websites, mail), providing recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
Manage complex and cross-functional projects, including creative development, design, and production, by providing clear and concise direction to designers and subject matter experts.
Develop and manage timelines to produce marketing materials (e.g., brochures, directories, and other collateral).
Maintain brand consistency across all materials and channels, serving as a brand ambassador by upholding the organization’s voice, tone, and visual identity in both internal and external communications.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to maintain productive working relationships and ensure project success.
Stay up to date on industry trends and ensure creative best practices are applied across all marketing platforms.
Support, attend, or participate in WWP programs and community-based activities as required.
Provide general administrative and project support to marketing team leadership.
Effectively communicate the WWP mission, vision, and values, and the importance of WWP programs, in public forums and events.
Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.
Other related duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of the creative development process and content writing best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all work.
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
