MARKETING & MEDIA ASST (Work Study Only)
The Physical Therapy Department (PTD) in the College of Health Sciences is looking for social media content creators to highlight student life and campus life for social media platforms including Linked In, Instagram, Twitter (X), Tik Tok, as well as other emerging social media platforms. Please review PTD social media posts prior to applying for examples, and prepare a portfolio of screenshots of your social media content for the hiring committee to review.
Responsibilities*- Sourcing and creation of organic social media content, including photo, video, and text for posts minimum of two posts per week.
- Work with PTD or CHS staff to schedule postings. Video editing of raw footage for social media. Photo editing for social media.
- Networking with PTD faculty, staff, other students, and student clubs and organizations to collect information for content creation.
- Social media takeovers.
- Attending meetings biweekly to discuss social media strategy
- Must be a current UM-Flint student eligible for work/study funding, graduate or undergraduate.
- Must be comfortable being filmed and included in social media content, specifically videos.
- Must be and stay up to date on social media best practices and trends.
- Must be responsive to emails and reply promptly, and have good communication skills.
- Must have a willingness to attend PTD functions, events, etc.
- Collaborative and willing to take direction, be open to feedback.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow marketing and branding requirements.
- Video and photo editing skills.
- Experience with Canva.
Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
