Marketing Manager, EVENTS; Remote Position

The Marketing Manager, Events drives attendance, engagement, and visibility for CLOC's major events, including its annual conference, regional events, in-person training days, and global programs.

This role is responsible for driving qualified registrations, expanding audience reach, and optimizing performance across paid and owned channels. It works in close partnership with the Events and Learning & Engagement teams on registration pacing, forecasting, campaign planning, and programming alignment.

The role contributes to event marketing strategy and owns day-to-day campaign performance, audience targeting, paid promotion, and digital conversion paths.

• Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for assigned events.
• Support segmentation and targeting strategies by persona, geography, and seniority.
• Drive registration growth through multi-channel campaigns.
• Monitor registration pacing and recommend adjustments to meet targets.
• Manage media application processes for major events, including intake, tracking, approvals, and communication with applicants.

• Update and manage event microsites within the broader website framework.
• Maintain consistent messaging across microsites, email, and paid channels.
• Build and execute email campaigns and automated journeys tied to launch phases and audience personas.
• Test subject lines, page content, and calls to action to improve conversion performance.

• Lead paid acquisition across search, paid social, display, and retargeting.
• Manage budgets and optimize cost per registration.
• Test messaging, audiences, and landing pages to improve conversion.
• Provide regular reporting on campaign performance and ROI.

• Develop and update sponsor-facing sales and marketing materials, including event prospectuses and related collateral.
• Coordinate sponsor and speaker promotion efforts.
• Collaborate with industry partners and aligned associations to extend reach.
• Support cross-promotional campaigns and audience expansion initiatives.

• 5+ years of event marketing experience.
• Association experience is a plus. Legal industry experience is not required.
• Experience driving registration for multi-day events.
• Skilled in cross-functional coordination and campaign optimization.
• Experience in paid media and audience targeting.

CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) is a professional association for legal operations professionals. Our members run the business side of corporate legal departments around the world, including technology, budgets, data, and process. We also welcome the law firms, legal technology companies, and consultants who work with those departments into our community. CLOC brings all of them together through an annual conference, regional events, education, training programs, and online community.

Base Salary range of $90k-110k plus benefits (including 5% 401k safe harbor contribution) and eligibility for bonus compensation up to 10% of base.
