D2C Ad Copywriter; Meta Ads

Writes research-driven, conversion-focused copy, headlines, primary text, hooks, and copy variations, for Meta ad campaigns, plus polished product descriptions, executing briefs and messaging direction from our Senior Creative Strategist. Purely the written word: doesn't touch the visual or video production of the ad itself, that's the Video Editor and Graphic Designer roles. Also not a creative-direction role: doesn't set the underlying angle or brand positioning, and not a media-buying role.

Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client's business hours (Central European Time, 40 hours per week)

• Decides without asking us — The specific wording and hook angles within a given brief, the structure and length of variations, and tone-of-voice execution within our brand guidelines.
• Doesn't own — The underlying messaging strategy and brand positioning (that's the Strategist's), the visual or video production of the ad itself (that's the Video Editor's and Graphic Designer's), review/approval of finished copy (also the Strategist's), and media buying, testing or launching ads is handled by the media buyer once the Strategist has signed off.

• Real D2C ad copywriting experience at meaningful spend — Has written ad copy for D2C brands spending at least $100,000 USD/month on advertising, and understands what makes copy convert at that level of spend. As with our other creative hires, brand size or reach isn't the qualifier, real experience at meaningful spend is.
• Research-driven — Strong research skills — gathers and applies competitor analysis, customer reviews, and audience insight into the copy itself, rather than writing from assumption.
• Excellent written English — Native-level or fully fluent written English, with sharp attention to grammar, clarity, and tone. This is non-negotiable for ad copy that has to convert.
• Executes precisely — Comfortable executing someone else's messaging direction and angle exactly as briefed, this is not a role for someone who wants to set brand positioning or campaign strategy independently.
• Built for volume and testing — Can turn one brief into multiple hooks and variations for testing, not one polished piece over a long timeline.
• Real portfolio — A portfolio of actual ad copy that ran, not just generic website, blog, or brand copywriting samples.

• No real ad copywriting background — A generalist content writer or blogger with no experience writing ads that actually ran.
• Ad experience limited to small spend — Ad copy experience limited to brands spending well under $100,000 USD/month, regardless of how polished the writing looks.
• Weak written English — Inconsistent grammar, clarity, or tone in their own writing samples, this is a precision role.
• Wants to set brand positioning or messaging strategy rather than execute a brief precisely.
• Can't produce at volume — Used to one polished deliverable over a long timeline rather than multiple hooks/variations per brief.
  
  Only generic website or blog copy, no portfolio of actual running ad copy.
• Wants to be involved in media buying, testing, or launching ads — That's explicitly not part of this role.
