About the RoleOur client is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to support paid media campaigns for its online degree portfolio. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for campaign setup, launch, optimization, pacing, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring across paid search and paid social channels. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads and understands how to optimize campaigns with longer conversion cycles.
Higher education experience is preferred, particularly online degree programs, but candidates from other industries with high-cost products/services and longer conversion cycles may also be a strong fit.
You will work closely with the Degree Marketing team to execute an established paid media strategy. The strategy will be developed by the team, while this person will be responsible for putting the strategy into market, managing campaigns day-to-day, identifying issues, and making routine optimizations.
This role is not intended for someone who is brand new to paid media or someone looking for a highly strategic leadership position. We are looking for someone who can come in, quickly get familiar with the accounts, and start executing with minimal training on the platforms.
- Build and launch paid search and paid social campaigns based on approved media plans and strategy.
- Set up campaign structures, targeting, keywords, budgets, creative, tracking parameters, and flight dates.
- Complete detailed pre-launch QA across links, conversion actions, targeting, budgets, creative, and tracking.
- Monitor campaign delivery, spend, pacing, and lower-funnel performance.
- Optimize bids, budgets, keywords, search terms, audiences, placements, and creative based on performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot tracking issues, disapproved ads, delivery problems, and significant performance changes.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns with longer conversion cycles, understanding that results may not happen immediately.
- Maintain accurate campaign trackers, optimization logs, and performance documentation.
- Provide concise weekly performance updates and recommended next steps.
- Support priority degree programs ahead of recruitment and Final date to receive applicationss.
- Work closely with internal marketing stakeholders and the paid media team to ensure campaigns are launched accurately and remain on pace.
- Take established campaign strategy and execute it in-market across the appropriate paid media channels.
- Quickly become familiar with existing accounts, campaigns, processes, and performance goals.
- 2–8 years of hands-on paid media/performance marketing experience.
