Content Marketing Manager- SEO​/AEO

We are seeking a results-driven Content Marketing Manager to lead and elevate our marketing messaging and content efforts. In this role, you will analyze internal competitive insights, sharpen strategic positioning, and develop a multi-channel content strategy designed to drive conversion and improve organic search and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) visibility across LLMs. You will serve as the content brand champion for targeted educational programs, collaborating closely with analytics, media, affiliate, and internal content teams to ensure messaging is aligned, compelling, and visible across channels.

This is a primarily remote position, with an expectation to come onsite periodically for team meetings and collaboration. Onsite meetings may take place in the Chicago, Minneapolis, or Baltimore areas, depending on team location and business needs.

• Translate complex competitive analysis and internal analytics into clear, compelling, and competitive value propositions.
• Develop messaging strategies that differentiate programs and resonate with target audiences.
• Ensure messaging is consistent with overall brand positioning and marketing objectives.

• Develop and execute multi-channel content strategies designed to improve organic search rankings and increase AEO visibility across LLMs.
• Identify content opportunities based on search trends, competitive insights, audience needs, and performance data.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure content strategies are effectively executed across channels.

• Write high-quality, conversion-focused content as needed.
• Develop comprehensive content briefs for internal writers and agency partners.
• Provide clear direction on messaging, audience, SEO/AEO requirements, tone, and content objectives.

• Partner with internal media, affiliate, and community outreach teams to champion core messaging.
• Extend content and messaging across external platforms, forums, partner networks, and other relevant channels.
• Ensure consistent positioning and messaging across the customer journey.

• Monitor content performance, AEO placements, organic search rankings, and other key performance indicators.
• Partner with analytics teams to evaluate results and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Continuously refine content strategies based on performance data, search behavior, and emerging AEO trends.

• Experience:
  
  5–7 years of professional experience in content marketing.
• AEO & SEO Fluency:
  Strong understanding of SEO and hands‑on experience optimizing content for organic search and emerging Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) opportunities across LLMs.
• Strong Copywriting
  
  Skills:
  
  Proven ability to write high-quality, conversion-focused content and/or effectively brief internal writers and creative partners.
• Strategic Thinking:
  Ability to evaluate competitive intelligence, analytics, and market insights and translate them into actionable messaging and content strategies.

• Industry Background – Preferred:
  Experience in higher education, healthcare/nursing education, or subscription-based service marketing is a plus, but not required.
