Teem builds hybrid healthcare teams, placing reliable remote workers into practices across the United States. We help practices reduce costs, increase efficiency, and deliver better patient care, not by replacing their in-office staff, but by giving them the capacity to focus on what matters most.
Position overviewWe are hiring a lifecycle marketer who is obsessed with what happens after a practice signs. You will own the marketing behind client retention, expansion, and referrals, from a practice's first 90 days to the moment it adds another teammate or recommends Teem to a colleague.
Upsells and referrals are the two outcomes we will measure you on. Onboarding messages, health check campaigns, and win-back sequences all matter, and each one exists to bring more expansion and more referrals.
If you have strong opinions about when the third email in a sequence should go out, you read churn reports on weekends, and you save the referral requests other companies send you to study how they ask, you will fit in.
You will report to the Marketing Manager and work daily with Success, who own the relationship with each client, and with the Marketing Lead for each vertical. You write your own emails, sequences, and web pages, because the quality of the writing decides whether a message gets a reply or an unsubscribe.
Your scope begins the day a practice signs.
Key responsibilitiesExpansion and upsell
- Design the expansion motion for existing clients, including the signals that show a practice is ready for another teammate, a new role, or an additional service.
- Build the sequences, content, and proof that help a client see what a second teammate would do for their practice, such as ROI stories and results from similar practices.
- Agree on timing, ownership, and handoffs with Success, so a client never receives two competing asks in the same week.
- Report on expansion revenue and on conversion from signal, to conversation, to additional teammate.
- Own the referral program from end to end, including the ask, the timing, and the follow-through, along with Hub Spot automations and our dedicated referral platform.
- Find the right moment to ask, usually after a clear win for the practice, and build the triggers that surface it.
- Track referral rate, referred leads, and referred-client conversion, and improve the program based on what the numbers show.
- Own the marketing messages in a client's first 90 days, including welcome, expectation setting, and milestone check-ins, with Success leading the relationship.
- Use data to spot early warning signs, and build the automated and personal touchpoints that address them before they turn into cancellations.
- Identify the milestones that predict long-term retention, then build messages that celebrate them and point to the next step.
- Build campaigns for clients who have gone quiet, using usage and performance signals.
- Create win-back sequences for former clients, segmented by the reason they left, with a message written for each reason.
- Test one variable at a time, document what works, and retire what does not.
- Write all lifecycle content, including emails, sequences, landing pages, and one-pagers.
- Keep every message in Teem's voice and specific to the vertical, so each practice owner reads something written for them.
- Maintain a library of reusable messages, proof points, and templates that the team can adapt as new verticals launch.
- Collaborate with Rev Ops to optimize the post-signup lifecycle in Hub Spot, including client stages, properties, triggers, suppression rules, and workflows.
- Build a dashboard that tracks expansion rate, referral rate, retention, and churn, along with the reasons clients give for leaving.
- Work with Rev Ops on implementation and data quality, so your programs run on clean data.
- At least four years in lifecycle, retention, customer marketing, or CRM marketing, with programs you owned from design through results.
- Proven results in expansion revenue, referrals, or retention, with specific numbers you can walk us through.
- Deep Hub Spot skills, including workflows, lifecycle stages, properties, segmentation, and reporting. You build in it yourself.
- Strong writing, shown in lifecycle emails or sequences that read like they were written for one person.
- Disciplined testing, with a hypothesis up front and a decision at the end.
- Experience working with customer success or account…
