Position: Reporting Officer (Volunteer)

ARAB YOUTH SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT NETWORK

The Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) is a dynamic, youth-led organization dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the Arab region. AYSDN engages youth in policy advocacy, capacity building, environmental sustainability, peace building, and other development-focused initiatives. Through regional and international partnerships, AYSDN amplifies youth voices and fosters inclusive development solutions.

AYSDN is looking for a suitable Volunteer to fill the position of Reporting Officer (Volunteer)

Organization: Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN).

Location: Remote.

Commitment: Part-time (10-15 hours per week).

Role Summary

The Reporting Officer (Volunteer) will be responsible for documenting, compiling, and producing reports on AYSDN’s activities, achievements, and impact. The officer will work closely with different teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of programs, events, and partnerships. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in research, writing, and documentation who are passionate about youth-led development and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, compile, and draft reports on AYSDN’s programs, projects, and activities.
  • Ensure reports align with AYSDN’s vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Work closely with program teams to gather accurate data, statistics, and success stories.
  • Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in documenting best practices, case studies, and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, donor reports, and other documentation as needed.
  • Ensure reports are well-structured, engaging, and aligned with international reporting standards.
  • Support media and communications teams by providing content for newsletters, press releases, and publications.
  • Maintain organized records of reports, data, and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Communications, International Relations, Development Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in report writing, documentation, or content creation is an advantage.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with SDGs, youth development, and sustainability issues in the Arab region.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, multicultural team.
  • Fluency in English is required;
    Arabic proficiency is an asset.
