35 hours per week
2 days per week work from home (as approved and with event weeks excluded)

Position Overview
The Events Coordinator at Arts Council OKC serves a crucial role in fulfilling our mission by planning, coordinating, and executing vibrant arts events across the city. You’ll help ensure smooth logistics, foster strong partnerships, and create memorable experiences. The Events Coordinator assists with executing multiple aspects of the Festival of the Arts. This nationally recognized arts event draws hundreds of thousands of people to downtown Oklahoma City every April.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Preferred 1 – 2 years ’ experience in events, project management, nonprofit administration, or related .
Project & Program Management
• Proven skills in scheduling, budgeting, logistics, organization, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
Community & Partnership Aptitude
• Easily builds strong working relationships , ability to successfully recruit and manag e volunteers .
Communication Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication. Knowledge of Excel , Google Suite, Adobe, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
Work Style
• Flexible availability, including readiness to work during events, lunches, evenings, and weekends. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to be flexible and respond quickly to change.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing and generating event c orrespondence & contract s .
• Maintaining mailing lists , records, artist , and volunteer database .
• Assisting with the organization and execution of annual juries , including cataloguing and organizing the visual arts jury and food jury process .
• Coordina te the setup of Festival and event volunteer meetings.
• Oversee and implement all aspects of assigned events , including, but not limited to, fundraising, logistics, performers, coordination of public services, licenses and permits, coordination with indoor and outdoor venues, public relations , and volunteer management .
• Serve as liaison for committees as assigned and serve as s taff lead for specific Festival of the Arts area s .
• Perform other staff duties as requested and participate in all ACOKC functions
• Reports directly to the Festival of the Arts Director
Physical Requirements
• Events require the ability to spend an extended duration standing and the ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions during events.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
