What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for growing and sustaining Child & Family’s individual donor revenue while ensuring a consistent, high-quality donor experience from first gift through long-term engagement. The Manager of Philanthropy & Stewardship owns the donor database (CRM), gift processing and acknowledgement systems, and stewardship strategy, and plays a critical role in improving donor retention and upgrades. You will also be supervising the Institutional Giving & Partnerships Officer, and oversee the position’s responsibilities.

Hybrid Role, 20% Remote Work.

Your Main Priorities

While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:

  • Individual Giving & Donor Strategy
    • Implement strategies for annual funds, mid-level, and major giving in partnership with the VP of Development & Communications.
    • Manage a portfolio of mid-level and select major donors and prospects.
    • Support the program VP and agency CEO with donor research, briefing materials, and follow up.
  • Stewardship & Donor Experience
    • Execute a comprehensive stewardship plan, including timely and personalized gift acknowledgements.
    • Manage donor communications such as impact reports, thank you letters, and stewardship touches.
    • Ensure donors receive clear and consistent information about the impact of their support.
  • Database & Systems Management
    • Serve as primary owner of the donor CRM, ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting, and effective segmentation.
    • Oversee gift processing and reconciliation in collaboration with Finance.
    • Produce regular fundraising and stewardship reports to inform strategy and forecasting.
Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in individual giving, donor relations, or advancement required.
  • Must have strong CRM experience (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or similar).
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
  • Computer and database management skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.
Physical Requirements

Operational staff:
This position involves work in an office setting. Tasks include operating a computer for extended periods, communicating with colleagues, and occasional lifting of office/department materials up to 25lbs. The role also requires the ability to sit for extended periods, bending, reaching, hearing and vision.
