Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
About NAHC:
Founded in 2019, the mission of the Native American Housing Circle (NAHC) is to advocate for and create affordable housing opportunities and provide direct services for Native American people experiencing homelessness and housing instability in the Denver metro area.
Position Summary:
The Program Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing NAHC’s program operations. This position works closely with the Executive Director to translate program vision into practice, supervise program staff, and support the delivery of culturally responsive services. As NAHC continues to expand its programs, staffing, and funding, this role is expected to grow in scope and responsibility, with the potential to evolve into a director-level position over time.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Executive Director on NAHC’s coalition work, including planning meeting agendas and facilitating coalition meetings.
- Participate in program planning and case management coordination for Crane’s Landing project, including partner conversations and day-to-day decision-making as the project develops.
- Manage and supervise program staff, including the Housing Navigator and future case manager(s).
- Work alongside the Executive Director to identify program priorities, challenges, and opportunities, and contribute to decisions related to NAHC’s core work as it evolves.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures to support compliance with service and program requirements.
- Provide program information, updates, and narratives to support grant proposals and reporting related to NAHC’s housing programs.
- Track and reflect on program outcomes to identify what is working well and where adjustments may be needed.
- Relevant experience in housing, homelessness services, human services, community-based work, or a related field. This experience may be gained through professional roles, education, lived experience, or a combination of these.
- Demonstrated experience working within, or building authentic relationships with, Native American and/or tribal communities, grounded in respect, accountability, and an understanding of community context.
- Experience managing or supervising staff, with a demonstrated approach to providing clear guidance, feedback, and accountability.
- Experience managing or contributing to program budgets, including tracking spending and supporting responsible use of funds.
- Experience managing work in settings where priorities change and processes are still being developed.
- Experience facilitating meetings or group conversations in culturally responsive ways that honor Native community norms, relationships, and ways of sharing.
- Strong communication skills, including maintaining respectful relationships with staff, partners, and community members.
- Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple priorities, tracking details, and supporting work that involves timelines, coordination, and documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, belonging, and cultural humility, including a willingness to learn from community members, intergenerational knowledge, and lived experience.
- Proficiency with standard office and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google, email, calendars, and spreadsheets).
- Comfort working with case files, documentation, and basic data tracking in a housing or human services setting.
- Familiarity with HMIS or similar client management systems, or the ability to learn and use required systems effectively.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and processes.
- Strong attention to confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive client, staff, and organizational information.
