Position Overview

Program Coordinator

Salary: $44,000

As part of the Foster Success team, the Program Coordinator advances the organization's mission by ensuring teens and

young adults have access to a continuum of programs and resources as they transition out of foster care. The

coordinator serves as the point of contact for young people seeking support and resource connections and works with

the Assistant Director of Program Delivery to ensure the smooth functioning of program operations and activities

including but not limited to the Basic Needs program, Mental Health Acceptance Promotion & Support program and

Basic Needs Hygiene Pantry. This position is responsible for connecting participants to a spectrum of resources,

knowledge, and skills that enhance their overall well-being. The Coordinator will support in cultivating a culture of well
- being across Foster Success' impact areas among our mission population.

The Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Program Delivery.

This position will begin full-time, in-office (based in Indianapolis), and will have an opportunity to become a hybrid or

fully remote position after onboarding.

Organization Overview

Foster Success's mission is to hear, support, and empower teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care on

their journey to self-sufficiency. We are committed to improving the foster care system and ensuring that teens and

young adults transitioning out of foster care are educated, housed, financially stable, employed, and connected to a

support system by age 26. Our team accomplishes this through program delivery, policy change, and partnership

developments in the areas of K-12 & post-secondary education, workforce development, health & well-being, financial

empowerment, and youth engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

Program Administration

* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Basic Needs Program, with primary responsibility for program implementation and ongoing management.

* Support the Mental Health Acceptance Promotion & Support (MAPS) program as needed and collaborate with team members across program areas.

* Review participant applications, collect and verify required documentation, complete intake assessments, and coordinate timely disbursement of funds and referrals.

* Ensure program activities are carried out in an organized, responsive, and youth-centered manner.

* Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and provide input on program efficiencies and best practices.

* Problem-solve and troubleshoot participant, system, or operational challenges as they arise.

* Provide support on additional projects and initiatives as needed to meet organizational goals.

Participant Support

* Serve as a primary point of contact for young people seeking Basic Needs support, including through 1:1 referrals and ongoing engagement with a focus on central Indiana.

* Complete Basic Needs intake processes and connect participants to internal and community-based resources related to housing, financial support, medical and health needs, self-advocacy, food, hygiene items, and other essential supports.

* Partner with young people to identify immediate needs while empowering them to build long-term support networks and self-sufficiency skills.

* Engage in skill-building, relationship-building, and follow-up support to promote participant well-being and stability.

* Work collaboratively with young people across Foster Success program areas to ensure coordinated, holistic support.

Data Tracking and Reporting

* Maintain accurate, timely, and complete participant documentation in Salesforce on a daily basis.

* Support management of participant databases, ensuring records are current and aligned with program requirements.

* Assist with data collection, tracking, and basic analysis to support program monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.

Payments and Financial Tracking

* Process participant payments for MAPS and Basic Needs programs in accordance with organizational policies and contract requirements.
