For over 100 years, Save the Children has been fighting for the rights of children. The right to a healthy start in life. To have access to education. To be in a safe environment, protected from harm. We work in some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places – over 100 countries, including the U.S. No matter what your role is, when you join Save the Children, you’re creating positive, irreversible change for children, and the future we all share.

The Role

As the Senior Officer, Corporate Employee Engagement, you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. This role sits within the Corporate Partnerships team, which seeks to leverage the power of businesses to deliver impact for kids. You will be responsible for developing and driving a strategy to increase employee engagement (EE) with corporate partners to boost awareness of Save the Children’s programs, while raising critical undesignated support funds through contributions, workplace giving and campaigns.

You will lead the creation, packaging, and promotion of compelling employee engagement offerings to meet the various needs of current and prospective partners. Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, Engagement & Growth, you’ll manage a team that supports both employee event operations and workplace giving campaigns, with a goal of raising $11M/year.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties) Lead Corporate Employee Engagement Program Development & Management (60%)
  • Develop and strengthen employee engagement strategy, creating robust offerings across Workplace Giving/Matching Gifts (WPG/MG) and employee events (EE) with a goal of raising $2M/yr for EE and $9M for WPG/MG.
  • Grow overall employee giving opportunities by strengthening the connection between employee engagement activities and workplace giving/matching gift campaigns for current and prospective corporate partners.
  • Establish team goals and KPIs; institute regular reporting process to track progress and improve delivery.
  • Develop and share corporate employee engagement best practices and operations guides that can support partner leads in selling and implementing successful events and WPG campaigns.
  • Coordinate closely with the peer-to-peer fundraising team to advise on and integrate offerings for Corporate Partners; connect regularly with other internal stakeholders across U.S. Programs, Marketing, Finance, and Business & Technology Solutions to improve ways of working and programmatic impact.
  • Serve as SCUS subject matter expert for employee engagement across Save the Children movement, connecting with counterparts across COs and Member Offices.
  • Oversee daily duties of data input, partnership updates and pipeline documents.
  • Train, develop, coach, lead, and supervise staff, clearly communicating organization, division and department priorities, and how their work contributes to our mission and supports Save the Children values.
Lead Corporate Employee Engagement Promotion, Marketing & Sales (20%)
  • Develop compelling corporate and employee-facing marketing materials and template collateral that position Save the Children as an employee engagement partner of choice.
  • Create and deliver a targeted outreach strategy to solicit and secure corporate employee engagement and giving opportunities.
  • Participate in client conversations to promote or sell-in Save the Children’s E and WPG opportunities.
  • Remain abreast of and embed industry best practices from corporate human resources strategy as well as peer nonprofits.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to drive visibility for Save the Children and our Corporate Partnerships. This could include ensuring visibility on social platforms by suggesting content and engaging on social as appropriate, thought leadership opportunities, and leveraging all other channels to drive engagement.
