Location: Beverly Hills/Mid-Wilshire Area and remote
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week. Flexible weekday schedule, plus occasional special events
Job Summary: The Development & Donor Engagement Manager supports The Miracle Project’s fundraising and community engagement efforts by executing individual donor outreach, coordinating parent-led fundraising initiatives, and implementing fundraising campaigns created by an external consultant. This role works closely with organizational leadership to maintain donor relationships, assist with donor communications, and ensure the timely execution of fundraising activities. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate the organization’s programs and impact with clarity and in alignment with its mission.
This is a primarily remote position with occasional in-person meetings or events. The employee must be able to travel locally within Los Angeles, including to the Beverly Hills and Mid-Wilshire areas, on an as‑needed basis.
- Conduct outreach to prospective and existing individual donors, including parents and community members
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities in coordination with organizational leadership
- Track donor interactions and follow‑ups to maintain strong relationships
- Serve as staff liaison to the parent fundraising group, fostering clear communication and trust‑based collaboration
- Coordinate meetings, communications, and fundraising initiatives led by parent volunteers
- Support volunteer leaders with timelines, materials, and logistical follow‑through
- Implement fundraising campaigns designed by an external consultant
- Coordinate campaign timelines, internal approvals, and communications distribution
- Communicate The Miracle Project’s programs and impact in alignment with the organization’s mission and commitment to respectful, disability‑affirming language
- Monitor execution and provide progress reporting and insights to organizational leadership
- Coordinate logistics for small‑scale fundraising events or initiatives
- Maintain donor and gift information in the donor CRM in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Operations
- Demonstrated experience in donor outreach, fundraising coordination, or relationship management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and follow through independently
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain respectful, trust‑based relationships with diverse stakeholders, including families and volunteers
- Experience working in a nonprofit development setting
- Familiarity with disability, autism, inclusive arts, or mission‑driven communities
- Experience working within or engaging donors connected to the entertainment, media, or creative industries
