Veterans’ Outreach is a non‑profit charitable organization established in 1994 with a mission to respectfully serve and honor all veterans. Over nearly three decades, the organization has assisted veterans in need more than 250,000 times, providing immediate relief for issues such as housing, utilities, and auto repairs.

With its corporate office in Youngstown, Ohio, and regional offices in Florida, Kentucky, and Alabama, Veterans’ Outreach operates across six states while remaining self‑funded through programs, grants, and donations. The organization is known for eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy and ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve. Guided by a dedicated Board of Directors and supported by both veteran and non‑veteran staff, Veterans’ Outreach collaborates with like‑minded agencies to provide effective solutions for veterans.

Role Description

This is a part‑time Assistant Manager role based in Ohio, United States, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing partial remote work. As an Assistant Manager, you will support operational and administrative tasks, oversee program initiatives, manage staff and volunteers, and assist in executing strategies to further the mission of Veterans' Outreach.

Key responsibilities include coordinating fundraising efforts, liaising with external partners, maintaining compliance with organizational policies, ensuring operational efficiency, managing communication within the team, providing support for veteran‑related services, and driving organizational growth.

Locations:
Kentucky, Florida, and Alabama positions available.

Qualifications
  • Administrative and organizational skills, including project management and team coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in fundraising and donor relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead teams, liaise with partners, and provide excellent service to veterans
  • Proven experience in nonprofit operations and a passion for serving veterans
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Experience with compliance and adherence to nonprofit regulations is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferable.
