Supervise two groups of Visiting Mom volunteers, one located in Westboro and one located in Newton. The Visiting Moms program provides free, home-based support to parents with babies under one year by matching them with trained, experienced volunteers for weekly home visits through the baby's first birthday.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities (14 Hours)- Provide reflective supervision and administrative oversight to two groups of volunteers (one in Westboro and one in Newton)
- Conduct intakes and have responsibility for ongoing assessment of individual clients’ mental health and resource needs
- Maintain relationships with collateral providers
- Maintain accurate electronic records of all data associated with program
- Be available to volunteers in between scheduled supervision group meetings to provide consultation, information, and guidance
- Attend bi-monthly team meetings in JF&CS Waltham office
- Facilitate bi-annual training sessions and professional development training for Visiting Moms volunteers
- If 20 hours:
- Conduct ongoing outreach and marketing of Visiting Moms Program to area collaterals and local programs
- Be lead trainer for bi-annual volunteer trainings
- Provide coverage for other supervisors when out of office
- Provide coverage for Program Director for inquiries and other duties to be assigned
- Mental health background or life experience consistent with MSW, LMHC, MCH, MEd, IMH‑E®
- Experience in the field of relational health, perinatal populations, and/or infant/maternal mental health
- Skills in managing and supporting volunteers and facilitating groups. Background or familiarity with Reflective Supervision is a plus.
- Understanding and commitment to cultural awareness
- Job requires regular driving to and from Waltham, greater Framingham and greater Newton areas (Drivers License required)
- Knowledge of local resources in these specific geographic areas a plus
- Experience with Salesforce or similar data systems can be useful
