POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Development leads the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-net-worth individuals, private and family foundations, and key partners from the diabetes industry companies. This role plays an integral role in creating a strategic investment fund and executing our multi-year, multi-million dollar fundraising strategy.

Reporting to the VP of Community Engagement and working closely with the CEO, the Director of Development will focus on building and managing a portfolio of major donors and philanthropic partners. This is both a strategic and hands‑on role: helping to shape the vision for development while also rolling up sleeves to build relationships with donors, execute campaigns, and write proposals.

This is an opportunity to be part of establishing a brand new development team and start‑up experience is critical.

This is a full time, remote, home‑office based role eligible for a full benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, and competitive pay in a mission‑based work environment. A private, quiet, home office space is required. Candidates can live anywhere in the United States. Some travel is expected for community events, conferences, and company retreats, with travel requirements potentially reaching up to 25% of total time and sometimes requiring weekend work.
