The Children’s Ministry Director (CMD) of Deep Creek Baptist Church will serve in a part-time capacity under the leadership of the senior pastor. This individual will have a personal relationship with Jesus as evidenced by their desire to love, serve, and exalt Christ. This individual will be responsible for all Creek Kids activities from birth through 5th grade. While this individual will serve as the leader of the Children’s Ministry of the church, the CMD will not be serving alone as the Children’s Ministry Team will be assisting the CMD in all areas of children’s ministry.
The purpose and mission that must guide the CMD is to encourage and equip the children of Deep Creek Baptist Church to love and serve the Lord with all their heart, mind, and soul, and to likewise love and serve the communities in which they interact.
Salary: 20, per year based on experience & education.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or a related field.
- Must be in full agreement with Baptist Faith & Message 2000 without exception.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Commit to working 20 hours per week, excluding full-time participation as a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
- Must be a “self-starter,” highly organized, with a gift for administration, communication, social interaction, as well as proficient in computer skills and adaptable to new technologies.
- Under the supervision of the senior pastor, develop, organize, and lead all Creek Kids’ ministry programs including but not limited to:
Wednesday night gatherings, children’s church, children’s Sunday school, nursery, VBS, and all other activities related to children’s ministry from birth through 5th grade. - Communicate, plan, and lead regular meetings with the Children’s Ministry Team to develop and share vision for the children’s ministry of the church.
- Regularly utilize social media as well as physical media to communicate, market, and bring awareness to Creek Kids’ ministry events and opportunities.
- Maintain background check records for all children’s volunteers and assist in creating and maintaining policies for safe ministry to children in connection with the church’s security team.
The CMD will be allowed to work from home as long as one office day is given per week and 20 hours of work are reflected.
