Samaritans Purse is seeking a Regional Director to join our team working remotely, based in or around Houston, TX. You can be a part of a highly professional Donor Ministries team. As a Regional Director
, you will build strategic, long-term partnerships with 250+ current and prospective major donors within a region of the United States on behalf of Samaritans Purse. You will steward partners giving gifts of $20k and above annually and manage an average portfolio of $10M annually. You will focus on sharing what God is doing through the ministry and intentionally develop strategic relationships that invite people into deep and meaningful partnership to facilitate the ongoing funding of Samaritans Purse programs.

A day in the life of a Regional Director:
At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of Regional Director you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Jesus Christ
- Represent the ministry to current and prospective donors. Communicate effectively the mission, scope, program strategies, and program impact of all areas of ministry throughout the world. Actively promote what is being accomplished as a testimony to God's provision.
- Maintain a strong Christian witness and humble spirit to colleagues and all constituent groups. Remain updated on global events and all aspects of ministry programs through personal study of the Samaritans Purse website, department wiki, public communications, and news outlets. Participate in weekly video meetings with Senior Regional Director and Super Region team.
- Intentionally build relationships and grow the donor base by discovering and developing major donor partnerships through intentional networking and research.
- Engage in the areas of greatest mission alignment. Develop and execute annual plans that include individualized engagement strategies for advancing each relationship. Keep donors feeling connected, updated, and valued as true partners. Lift donor awareness of ministry impact and vision for ongoing partnership as a means of building God's kingdom here and abroad.
- Manage a portfolio of 250+ priority relationships in specified region. Thank donors well by providing timely and personal acknowledgments of all significant giving.
- Provide personalized reports showing the impact of donor giving and why it matters. Adjust according to donors preferred mode and frequency of reporting. Document accurately all donor contacts and information in the database. Minister to donors by connecting on a spiritual level. Encourage their walk with the Lord, pray with and for them, and incorporate principles of Biblical stewardship as appropriate.
- Engage donors personally through a variety of means, including personal visits, special events, vision trips, conference calls, and personal correspondence, with a heavy emphasis on face-to-face interaction. Invite people into deep and meaningful partnership through giving opportunities that align their ministry passions with the mission and programs of Samaritans Purse.
- Seek other opportunities for partnership that utilize a donor's influence, time, and talent. Seek the leading of the Holy Spirit through each relationship and encounter. Facilitate current and planned giving to Samaritans Purse to meet established targets.
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing relationships with high-capacity individuals and raising $1M or more annually through major gifts.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build trust and credibility within Samaritans Purse and outside the ministry.
- Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred, not required.

Travel Expectations
: estimated 50-80 nights/year (domestic and international). Maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary.
