Job Summary:Are you passionate about the mission of public broadcasting and driven to make a meaningful impact in the world of fundraising? As the Individual Giving Manager at Wisconsin Public Radio, you'll play a key role in shaping and executing strategies to engage high‑value donors, nurture relationships, and support the organization's mission of delivering trusted, impactful programming to Wisconsin. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to oversee essential fundraising systems, manage prospect portfolios, and directly contribute to the growth and success of Wisconsin Public Radio’s Major Individual Gifts unit.
This position operates within Wisconsin Public Radio’s Development Department and reports to the Managing Director of Individual Giving. You’ll oversee the administration of key fundraising software and portfolio management systems, conduct donor research, and collaborate with colleagues to drive cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship initiatives. To excel in this role, you’ll need technical proficiency, organizational skills, and interpersonal communications. An ability to manage databases and analyze donor data will be essential.
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑a‑week position. Ongoing/Renewable. This is a full‑time position that works core business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and will include some nights and weekends. This position may require responsiveness that arise outside of standard business hours.
This position will be a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week in person in Madison, WI. Additional flexibility in the future is possible. In‑person meetings and events may require additional in‑person attendance. Occasional travel related to job responsibilities may be required.
Remote work requires an approved flexible work arrangement (FWA). A FWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high‑speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the employee’s expense. It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages execution of Individual Gifts program administration, maintaining the quality of donor database records and standards of accuracy, timeliness, and efficiencies of data entry, donor communications, and gift acknowledgement processes.
- Collects, prepares, and analyzes donor information and event data and provides subsequent recommendations for improvement and enhancement.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for event and program activities, facilities, participants, and vendors adhering to established timelines and expectations.
- Assists with the design, development, and delivery of marketing and communication materials and other event publications to promote development events and programs.
- Assists with the development of strategic planning initiatives and objectives, program budgets, and monitors activity to ensure adherence to established guidelines.
- Serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders at meetings and activities to advocate for and promote the interests of the unit.
- Identifies, promotes, and maintains donor relationships and identifies solicitation opportunities specifically designed for the generation of mid‑level gifts ($1,000 – $2,500) to reach program funding goals.
