REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree; a minimum of three years of annual giving experience, preferably in nonprofit fundraising environments; experience conducting donor solicitations; excellent interpersonal and communication (written, verbal, listening) skills; attention to detail; self-motivated and a proven record of accomplishment in a position requiring independent planning and efficient utilization of time and resources; discretion with confidential information; proficiency with computers and standard applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and PowerPoint);

experience with Ellucian Advance Web, Evertrue, or other enterprise fundraising system; ability to engage and build relationships with colleagues, faculty, leadership, staff, alumni, volunteers, donors, and other external constituents; work independently and collaboratively; and multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines, without compromising quality, in a demanding, high-volume work environment. PREFERRED:
Knowledge of major gift and planned giving best practices, and higher education experience.

Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time and work evenings and weekends.

This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.

ANNUAL GIVING OFFICER, Annual Giving, to represent the Institute in constituent visits or at events, with the primary focus of building membership in the Annual Giving Leadership Circle (AGLC), which recognizes donors who support MIT through annual gifts of $2,500 or more. Will engage with existing and potential donors through extensive outreach efforts that will progress to increased prospect work which will involve managing, cultivating, and soliciting a regionally-based pool of prospects with annual giving potential of $1,000 to $100,000;

develop, manage, and support a small portfolio of volunteers to aid in this process when applicable; and engage annual donors in the compelling case for unrestricted support of the Institute.
