Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging, a nonprofit in Minneapolis, MN, is looking to hire a full‑time (40 hours/week) Grant Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the planning, administration, compliance, and oversight of federal Title III grant‑funded programs. This midlevel role ensures alignment with federal and state requirements and plays a key role in maintaining relationships with funded partners, building organizational policies and procedures to support compliant and efficient grant operations.

The position also provides technical expertise in the creation, review, and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assists the team in navigating procurement and grant‑related contracting processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Services, Gerontology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's Preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in grant or contract management, nonprofit operations, project management, compliance, policy development, or a related area.
  • Knowledge of federal grant regulations and Title III program requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with contract management and subrecipient monitoring.
  • Experience supporting or managing RFPs or procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and grant reporting systems.
  • Experience working with diverse, underserved, and rural populations.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with federal, state, or foundation grant compliance and reporting requirements, as well as a background in nonprofit grant coordination, program management, or advancement. The ideal candidate will also have experience organizing and presenting data or financial information, along with a solid understanding of nonprofit budgeting and the basics of fund accounting.

Work Schedule

This position works Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with two‑to‑three in‑office days per week and remaining time spent working from home or in the community. This position may require some nights and weekend schedules.

When working offsite, employees must meet specific internet criteria including demonstrated high‑speed connectivity and the ability to meet privacy and security standards with secure (password‑protected) internet and demonstrate successful performance.
