Gold Star Gamers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children who have lost a military or veteran parent. Through gaming, mentorship, and community programs, we create opportunities for children to find healing, connection, and belonging. By leveraging esports camps, tournaments, and shared online spaces, Gold Star Gamers helps children rebuild confidence, resilience, and trust. Our mission is to provide hope and a pathway forward, ensuring these children feel supported and valued as they navigate their journeys.

The Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator will provide direct support to children and families impacted by the loss of a military or veteran parent. This contract role includes responsibilities such as managing outreach programs, coordinating family services, conducting case assessments, and maintaining communication with partner organizations. The coordinator will oversee the implementation of resources aimed at fostering community and resilience. This is a hybrid role based in Redmond, WA with flexibility for remote work on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications- Proven experience in Social Work, Family Services, or Social Services
- Strong skills in Case Management, including assessment, planning, and service coordination
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with families and partners
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field;
Master’s degree is a plus - Experience working with military families or trauma-informed care is highly desirable
