We are looking fortwo Sustainability Internsto join our Global Sustainability team for6 months, supporting key priorities within either:
- Sustainability Enablement & Social Impact, or
- Water & Circularity
You will join HEINEKEN’s Global Sustainability team, contributing to Brew a Better World-our long-term approach to doing business the right way to ensure we're fit for the future and to support growth and productivity.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of sustainability topics, while contributing to meaningful global initiatives. Responsibilities may include:
Internship #1:Sustainability Enablement & Social Impact
- Support the coordination of our Social Impact goals and initiatives across
60+countries - Contribute to stakeholder engagement activities for our Brew a Better World sustainability strategy
- Assist in creating and updating sustainability strategy assets and materials
- Support the deployment of sustainability capability content
Circularity & Water
- Support the development of digital maps connecting our global water initiatives
- Support on internal capability building for the global circularity strategy and packaging regulation
- Contribute to insights and storytelling around water stewardship and circularity programs

We’re looking for motivated and curious individuals with a passion for sustainability who can bring some of the following:
- Bachelors or Master level education (e.g. Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, or related fields)
- A strong interest in sustainability, impact, and corporate responsibility
- Ability to work in a structured way and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work with a range of interdisciplinary topics and cross-functionally
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel; digital tools/visualization tools are a plus)
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Team spirit and willingness to collaborate in an international environment

Conditions of HEINEKEN- You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
- You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:
- A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
- The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
- Your home office will be located in Amsterdam
- At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
- You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40‑hour workweek
- You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
- If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
