Summary:

Habitat for Humanity of Iowa is seeking an experienced, mission-driven fundraising professional to serve as its part-time Development Coordinator. This role is uniquely focused on securing funding for non-construction initiatives, including housing advocacy, capacity building for Habitat affiliates, and disaster preparedness programming. This is not a typical Habitat fundraising role; the Development Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new donors and partners who are passionate about creating housing solutions and statewide impact.

The position will also provide select support to team members involved in traditional Habitat fundraising but will not be the lead for those efforts.

Time Commitment:
This is a part-time salaried position averaging 20 hours per week. Some weeks may be more based on funding deadlines and special circumstances. A flexible schedule is available with supervisor approval.

The office location is Altoona, Iowa. Travel is expected, mostly in state. Occasional overnight travel may be required. There may be options for remote working if the ideal candidate is located outside of the Altoona area (45 min or further).

Salary Range for Part-Time position:

$30,000-$35,000 based on experience. Salary may be increased after meeting key fundraising targets in the first and second year.
