Position: York Region Community Service Worker Role
Anishnabeg Outreach is looking for Community Service Workers this summer in York Region! Engage with Indigenous communities while gaining invaluable experience in mental health and outreach.

This full-time summer position offers four youth the chance to support community engagement and program development for Indigenous initiatives. Applicants should be aged 15-30 and possess active interests in social services and cultural programming. This hybrid role provides a blend of community, office, and remote work. Lived experiences are valued in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support outreach to Indigenous residents in the community

• Facilitate community events, surveys, and meetings

• Conduct research and collect data as needed

• Aid in the planning and execution of outreach programs

• Develop engaging materials tailored for youth

Requirements:

• Youth aged 15-30

• Legal work eligibility in Canada

• Familiarity with community service and mental health

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Willing to travel within York Region
