Overview

AIEN is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Membership and Marketing Coordinator to support a global community of professional energy negotiators and a collaborative Houston-based association team. This role is responsible for helping achieve membership recruitment and retention goals, engaging and supporting members, managing social media activity, and assisting with marketing campaigns for AIEN events, the AIEN Foundation and other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary contact for membership inquiries; process applications, renewals and reinstatements; maintain accurate member records; prepare membership reports; support the VP Membership and Membership Committee; and coordinate dues, onboarding, retention, lapsed-member and targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Develop member communications, support segmented email marketing, monitor and update website content, assist with regional event promotion, and help generate donor prospects and communications for the AIEN Foundation.
  • Manage AIEN’s social media calendar and execute two to ten posts weekly in partnership with the Regions lead.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Director of Signature Events and Corporate Sponsorship, and Senior Coordinator, Global Chapters & AIEN Foundation to support membership growth across AIEN’s nine global regions, Signature Events, regional programming, Women Negotiators, Young Negotiators, New Energy Taskforces and process improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in marketing, journalism or liberal arts, and at least two years of experience in membership, marketing and/or volunteer engagement.
  • Strong customer service, writing, communication, time management, attention to detail, digital marketing, collaboration, problem-solving, data reporting and volunteer-management skills are required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Mail Chimp or similar platforms, association management systems, Word Press and Google Analytics preferred; association or nonprofit experience is a plus.
Schedule

In-office three days per week, working from home on Mondays and Fridays.
